Neubauism Exhibition

Neubau is now to show this extensive archive for the first time within the context of
an exhibition. The ever changing graphic foundations are brought into the third dimension and are thus made accessible to a wider public. 500pt typefaces collide with speeding time-intervals only to be thrown back onto massive pattern-screens.
Neubau thus reveals the source of the process and invites the public to become part of it.
The exhibition will premier at the renowned MU in Eindhoven on September 5., 2008, and is to be opened by Wim Crouwel. From there the exhibition tour will begin allowing “Neubauism” to be visible around the globe.

A flexible and modular concept is built around a core-system measuring 25 x 20 meters. 120 sq meters of printed translucent gauze surfaces - each frame 3 x 4 meter in size - are intergrated with three data-projection screens of the same size.

Mai 68 - Paris Exhibition

I already talked (here) very quickly about the Mai 68 exhibition in Paris. I went to see it but unfortunetly i wasn’t allowed to take pictures… So for those who are in Paris I hardly recommened you to go and have a look. It’s a very clever exhibition explaining, through 100 posters, the progession of the events. Each poster shown is a respond of a government speach or an act of the police against the strikers.

May 68: Street Posters from the Paris Rebellion

The posters of the Paris uprising of May 1968 comprise some of the most brilliant graphic works ever to have been associated with a movement for social and political change. This selection of original posters coincides with The Hayward’s 40th birthday and celebrates the vibrant activist graphics and revolutionary spirit of summer 1968.

The exhibition is curated by Johan Kugelberg in collaboration with The Hayward curatorial team and Jeff Boardman, Creative Director of Freewheelin’.

Supported by Converse with additional support from the New York Herald Tribune and Time Out.

To complement this exhibition, Magnum Photos present a projection of photographs by Bruno Barbey, whose record of the Paris riots produced some of the most iconic images from that year.

Thursday 1 May 2008 - Sunday 1 June 2008 , 10am – 6pm (daily), Late night Fridays until 10pm
