how does this calendar work? where are the days?

the weekends are in red so you can see at a glance that 20th july is a saturday, for example.
i like it. i’m trying to design a calendar poster and am looking at how to avoid using MTWTFSS, and also i don’t like portraying the months as JFMAMJJASOND (mainly because july-november spells JASON which annoys me - besides, there’s too many Js, Ms and As.)
