About Peter Saville :
Peter Saville was born in 1955 in Manchester. In 1979, he is the cofounder of the independent label Factory Records for which he conceives the visual identity and the covers of Joy Division and New Order which are still standards today. He works then for Roxy Music, Ultravox, Peter Gabriel, Pulp and Sweden, but also Whitechapel Art Gallery, the Pompidou Center, Yohji Yamamoto, Jil Sander, Givenchy, Christian Dior, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Kate Moss, Mandarina Duck and Adidas. He is also an artistic director of the town of Manchester since 2004. Its work was exposed to the Design Museum of London in 2003 and to Migros Museum of Zurich in 2005.
